Cringle Park Levenshulme

This is the proposed planting plan for Cringle Park,

City of Trees will be working with Manchester City Council on this planting project, part of a national initiative to plant more than 40 million trees in the fight against climate change. The planting is planned to take place between October 2024 and December 2024.

Trees are key to our fight against climate change. They absorb greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and release oxygen for us to breathe.

The trees that will be planted at this site will be native species selected for their suitability to the site conditions and their ability to capture carbon and create new habitats for wildlife. The funding for this project will pay for the first 15 years of establishment including any pruning and thinning work needed to reduce long term maintenance costs.

A detailed site assessment and online checks have been undertaken to ensure that we are planting trees in appropriate locations.
